Holloway is a bright and intuitive musician based out of a small regional town Byron Bay, Australia. His genuine, warm personality alongside his stirring and evocative music make him one of the most intriguing musicians in the industry today. 

Holloway’s music is completely intuitively created, deeply inspired by cross-cultured ethnomusicology, having lived in and around India for many years, the prayer calls from mosques that flood the city, the music within ashrams, the street performances soaked into my subconscious and only when it comes time to creating and playing music do flavours of those influences play themselves out through his melodic interpretation.

Before the talk, we come together for an OM Meditation Circle. Through the cosmic vibration of OM, we make an impact for change, at times intangible but deeply transformative.

The vibrational waves, created by the OM Chanting circle and facilitated by Swami Chidananda, spread out in a 2-mile radius, establishing a harmonious, peaceful environment and fostering unity between humans and nature.

Benny Oyama is an American Singer-songwriter who intricately weaves his spiritual journey through the threads of Eastern Philosophy, Meditation, Yoga, Brazilian musical forms, and Central and South American wisdom. His music, both lyrically soulful and devotionally talented, acts as a transformative force uplifting hearts and souls across the globe. 

With a masterful blend of vocals and guitar, Benny takes his audience on an immersive journey. Whether he’s conjuring the depths of the ocean with the fingerstyle riffs of ‘Hino Pra Iemanja’ or gently guiding busy minds to tranquility with the soft tones of ‘Autumn Blue,’ each note offers a unique depth rarely experienced in contemporary music.

After arriving in Mexico in 2021, Benny reconnected with Buddhism as a way of understanding and being in the world, a connection that began at the age of 16 at the behest of a mentor that rescued him from a deep depression. Singing mantras and prayers, and facilitating devotional song circles that infuse meditation, contemplation, and song has been a way for Benny to integrate his passion for music with his commitment to be in service to community.

Join song collector and voice specialist, Peia Luzzi, for an empowering workshop to open the primordial sound within you. Learn to harness the power of your true voice and sing with joy and ease. Much of the work that we will do in this workshop will be the work of undoing limitations and limiting thoughts. Of opening the body, deepening the breath and allowing our vessel to resonate and amplify the natural sounds created in the throat. Peia encourages a practice of gentleness rather than force, a practice that harnesses the energy of the breath and vibration of the voice, rather than muscling from the throat. From there you can open easily and reach both the top and bottom of your range with grace.

Peia Luzzi is an American born song collector, writer and multi-instrumentalist based in the mountains of Appalachia. Like water from a deep well, she draws inspiration from her ancestral roots of Celtic and Old World European folk music. With the voice of a lark, Peia dances nimbly from Child Ballads and 17th C. Gaelic laments, to Waulking Songs, and Bulgarian mountain calls. She has traveled & studied extensively over the past 10 years to reconnect with her own ancestral song tradition. Uncovering melodies wrinkled & wise with time, while taking care to honor their language and stories. Peia brings a piece of herself to each song she carries.

Gong SPA sound healing concert

Sound healing is a tool to aid you in arriving at the depths of yourself. With a variety of holistical instruments we invite you on a journey into the sub-concious where there is potential to relax deeply and meet your inner creative source.
GONG – one of the world’s oldest instruments, will help You achieve a deep state of relaxation. Gongs and other organic sounds can help to get rid of fear and other negative emotions. This will contribute to increasing creativity and multiplies the activity of the immune system.

Please bring a mat for lying down.

About

Alex and Kaushalya are sound healers and cacao aficionados who work internationally at festivals, retreats, concerts, private sessions and ceremonies. They have trained at EMTA (Estonian Music and Theater Academy) as music therapists and also specialised in gong playing, sound massage, and sound bath from master Don Conreaux, in addition to studying Sufi rhythms and framedrums in Turkey. Alex and Kaushalya have developed their own system called ‘GongSPA’ utilising an approach based in existential psychology and sound healing for relaxation, meditation, transformation and joy.
